In a recent Discovery Session with a prospect “Tammy”, I was amazed at how buttoned up and focused she seemed. She had a very clear picture of what she wanted her life to look like. Initially I wondered why she was interested in working with me on goal setting.

Then as we talked, I realized that while she was so clear on her vision, she was also blinded from it.

Vision BlindfoldsHer everyday life was full of activities and obligation that were blinding her with distractions.

Now don’t get me wrong. We all get a little distracted sometimes. But if we don’t put it in check, pretty soon you can lose track of your goals.

In Tammy’s case, she was so busy with everything else, she had lost sight of her vision and goals. She didn’t need help on goal setting, we needed to focus on goal getting. Figuring out what distractions were the worse culprits and putting blinders up for them so she could stay focused on her goal.

Do you sometimes feel blinded from your Vision?

Can you identify with Tammy?

Do you find it hard to keep focused on your goals and feel blinded from your vision?

It’s time to get clarity and bring your vision back into focus!  If you haven’t done any envisioning exercises in a while, push pause on everything else and set time aside. Being disconnected from your  vision means you’re disconnected from your purpose.

upwards vision Your vision gives you direction. It’s your roadmap. Keeping it in sight gives you a clear picture on where you should invest your resources. It’s what focuses your energy and your actions.

What’s your vision? Think about the key areas of your life..what I like to call your View Points. What do you want 3-5 years from now for your Health, Finances, Career, Personal Growth, or Family?

Take the time to write down specific things that you want to accomplish. If you’re having a hard time getting started, think about your Victories & Setbacks from the last year. Things that you are proud of and things you’d like to do over. Write them down and get real about whey they worked and why they didn’t. Awareness is the first step to reconnecting with your vision and bringing it back into focus.

Need a little guidance? Take a page from Tammy’s book and schedule a Discovery Session with me to talk about your vision!
